Our Restaurant

Mark and Tammy Lammar began the idea for Lammar's Smokehouse BBQ while having family dinners on their deck, feeding their large family. In November 2010, they opened the doors to the restaurant , inside a Mobile gas station, in Marshfield, WI. It was a new concept for Central Wisconsin, and took time for people to understand the smoked meats and sauces that Tammy had created in the kitchen. It started, and continues today as a family run business. Their children and grandchildren are actively involved in the day to day activities of the restaurant.

They closed the doors to their Marshfield location in April 2017 and reopened in Rothschild WI. There they have concentrated on returning to more of a "smokehouse" menu, featuring their hickory smoked meats, home made sauces and sides, and freshly made desserts.

At Lammar's Smokehouse BBQ, we pride ourselves on serving great homemade food, using quality ingredients. Our meats come in fresh and are hand rubbed with our own spice blends before going into our smoker and smoked low and slow for 12-15 hours with hickory wood which provides a nice dark flavorful bark on the outside, but juicy tender meat on the inside. Our pies are baked fresh in our own ovens and our sauces and sides are made daily in our kitchen. We hope to provide our customers with a great meal, at a fair price, so they come back time and time again.

Meet Us!

Mark Lammar is the head of the family, and the expert at preparing all our meats for smoking. Father, grandfather and great-grandfather he is a man of many talents and the co-owner of the restaurant with his wife Tammy. When spare time permits, he enjoys hunting, working on his truck and spending time with the family.

Tammy is Mark's wife and, apart from being the creator of many of the recipes used in the restaurant, specialises in arranging outside catering events but occasionally the lure of the front counter will call her and you will find her making sure all our customers get the best possible service. When not working, she is a mom in a million to her family and an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers.

Dylan is Mark & Tammys son and is the original Big Man of BBQ and restaurant manager. Out of work he enjoys working on his cars, he is a supporter of the Chicago Bears (much to his moms annoyance) and enjoys spending time with his daughter Cassidy who wears him out more than the restaurant anyday of the week!

Devan is Dylans younger brother and the restaurant eye-candy for the young ladies that come in! He is a Marine in the Marine Reserves, attends UW-Madison majoring in astrophysics, and when not at work enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Megan and his cat.
